Circle Call 2026-03-25
Present: Natasha N, Richard R, Simon C, Chris L
Autumn conference
- Discussing agenda.
- Why did we choose 12 shorter talks?
- Try to have a packed, interesting agenda where people can learn something. Makes it appealing for attendees, spend training budget etc.
- Encourage all CoTech co-ops to submit talks, but also invite external speakers (former cotech members for example)
- Action - Natasha to arrange next meeting of working group
Co-ops congress
We've been talking about having a stall at co-ops congress. Do we want to do this? We don't have any budget at the moment to pay. Could we benefit more from just sending people?
We think congress pays for travel and accommodation for speakers - so do we want to propose a talk?
Action - Natasha to ask Tim to CC the cotech inbox on communications with co-op congress
Worker co-op weekend
Is the weekend before co-op congress so a bit of clash in terms of sending people. Natasha is planning to attend on behalf of the Own The Future project (part of workers.coop)
Fire in the mountain festival
We've been talking about sending someone to this festival to talk about open source and CoTech.
Co-op outreach
We talked about getting in touch with existing CoTech members to say "hi" and let them know about website changes. Chris is going to ask about getting access to the CoTech inbox and worker coop civicrm instance.
